Guys just a quick one before I summon up the courage to see my vet/doctor. Really not sure what he comes under with it being a 'proper' rural doc.

Ive been carrying an injury in my left foot for a good few months and I cant seem to shift it. Its on the inside arch of my foot and travels from just before the ball through to near the heel. Its particularly bad in the mornings where I have next to no movement or flex with that part of my foot. It feels like a very tight burning pain and is most prominant nearer the heel. The pain is near constant but subsides quite a bit during the day to more of a dull ache.

Im a 'relatively' healthy guy and have not taken any major knocks or bumps since I broke my ankle a good 10 years ago. Thought id test the collective masses and see if I can get it sorted before the vet amputates it......

Being a copper thats very fittinh. I have had it for months so im willing to spend the time to fix it. Maybe its my force issue boots. They are pretty cumbersome and have steel sole plates which makes them less than comfortable.

Maybe my Occi Health will be able to sort me out. Thank you!

I wear walking socks. The big thick ones. No insoles and as I said before my boots are naff mass produced on the cheap and full of steel made by 'XXXsomethingXXX industries'. I cant even remember the name.

Maybe if I get a letter sent Occi health will authorise a new set of decent boots like the magnums/swats im more used to wearing.

OJ. If you want quick and easy - a good pair of insoles (from Boots) that force your arch up. Also massage it out by running your foot over a water bottle of tennis ball.

Really appreciate that advice made. Ill give that a go and see how it goes. It keeps the lads at work amused watching me shuffle up the stairs in the morning considering im the youngest there!
