Which is best colour for the Griff - FormulaRed or Burgundy?
Discussion
Hi all, I have to decide on colour to finish off my rebuild. I like the original formula Red and it does go well with my new wheels (on back of car in pic) but i also like a darker Burgundy Red. Ive sprayed the bonnet to try it out.
Obviously i wouldnt have to spray the whole car if i stick with the original red, and my brother will tell me to get on with it so its on the road for the summer, but im just not sure?
Whats the general opinion, does the darker red suit it?
Post your vote now!
Cheers
Pc.

I couldnt get a pre-cat front at the time (although a couple have sprung up since!) but I have reduced the opening to resemble a pre-cat more, but with improved air flow.
What do you think, if i fit a normal size number plate at the top of the opening it would be pretty much back to standard?
I'm confused
you've reduced the width of the opening, but made no allowance for the high beam lights.... if these get fitted in the opening ala 500's and with the number plate intrusion there will be very little room for air to get in...... just my thoughtsOriginally i was thinking of a stick on number plate like most e-types have, but that might not be legal? High beams are going in the pods initially with an H4 lamp conversion, but could be looking at an upgrade to projector beams if that doesnt light up the road enough.
All easily put back to standard with a small splash mould, wiring for original lights all still there etc.
I have kept many options open, the grill mesh i will be fitting has a couple of vertical mounting bars just wider than the number plate so i could mount a couple of high beams back in the opening near to original position for original style looks, but i was really trying to get a "mouth shape" going for the air intake, aka cobra style and lose the high beam units from the standard position which is something i have never really been keen on. Each to his own and all that
Just playing around really, trying out a few ideas, if i dont like how it works out i can mould a standard pre-cat front section and do that.

Never had a problem with number plate, main reason for removing spot lights and number plate was I used to do a lot of trackdays so removed to help keep temp down on hot days, though to be fair I never had a problem with the temp with standard set up, more a precaution than anything else.

HOW MANY TVR FRONTS DO YOU HAVE ???
It was not in his garden when that picture was taken ,those fronts belong to Plasticman , who is probably thinking "why hasn't he finished that yet ?" cos he keeps changing things is why. Come on just paint it red and get it on the road.....
