CLK 2.0 Kompressor

Just bought a 2.0 kompressor 189 hp version, convertible avantgarde ,2000.

Is it Rev limited to 4k Rpm? So it looks...,than again ESP off still doesnt go far than 4k Rpm.

redline appears to be at 5000-5300 Rpm so a bit strange.

Got a 1.8 Kompressor (it's 1.8 despite being badged 200) and that revs to about 5,500 I think.

Sounds like something's amiss there.

Are you trying to rev it in neutral?

If so, then it may be rev limited in neutral. Put in sport and floor it, and see where it changes.

My old E55 was rev limited in neutral.

SL500 (so auto) will only rev to 4000 in park.

All other gears it'll rev to 6000, although with a theoretical 70+mph in reverse, I haven't verified that one yet!
