Recommended Diff Oil and amount
Discussion
I use the heavier Millers CRX LS 75w140 NT Jim, there is also the standard LS 75w90, but the heavier one gives the diff a bit more torque shock protection IMHO. Both are fully synthetic so heat & longevity is enhanced.
It takes over a litre & less than 2 to fill.
Filling depends on the case you have - they can be plugs on the offside + underside & rear..
Easiest way to fill is run some tube down the wheel arch and connect a high funnel clamped on workbench (whatever) so you can leave it to trickle in. Even with warming the stuff is still like treacle!!! A certain southener always seems to dislike my approach of jacking the car up to raise the plug a little & overfilling, so making sure you've got the full dose in (having trashed my diff not getting it properly full.. yes it started dripping out.. but that was more the cohesion I think) I don't take chances anymore and waste a little oil. Just level the car off & let the excess drain when you've finished.
