SB800 - Hmmm, whats happened here then?

Haven't used my SB800 for a few weeks, & when I tried at first it didn't switch on, now its showing this on the rear screen. No idea what it means, but I can't change any of the modes and it fires the same power no matter what setting the camera is on....



Any idea's PH massive?

Needs a reset, I think you hold the buttons down for 10 seconds. My SB900 did something similar when I first got it, it ultimately fried itself but I think that was because it was an early 900

ETA - Your quickest way out of this level is probably holding On/Off and Mode simultaneously. You probably need to hold them for 3-5 seconds.

I don't think going into the Advanced modes will make any difference to whether your gun will fry or not. With the 800 you got there from hitting the Select button (Easy done if you put it in it's bag/case when still turned on) and is the biggest p*i*t*a with the 800 where on the 900 they've got a better set of buttons to find stuff rather than burying it all in the menu system. Does my head in because I have to re-learn almost every time I pick one of mine up!!!

It's in commander mode and just needs resetting to get it back to standard, or you can tit about with it for 10 minutes adjusting it back if you want

Mine used to go into slow sync mode at random
