Can anyone shed some light on just how much dollar you need to bring to the table to get the ride ?

Im not after specifics, just a ball park figure.

I reckon the Andersons can run a car for cheaper than most...

double that and you've got the minimum for an FIA race with most rent-a-rides wink

I think the best way financially is to run one pass, qualify number one, take the number one qualifier money and go home.

Once you start going rounds the prize money you acquire each round does not cover the cost of running the car so the further you go, the more it costs you.

If you want to drive that car,it will cost an awful lot more than £5000 a race, think somewhere along the lines of £30,000 a race.

I agree, 30K is more a realistic ammount.

This for the whole meeting and not per run I assume ?

Yes for the meeting. Problem comes when an extra event gets put on the calender, so now the yearly budget gets diluted down per event. Could be why the "per event" cost is quoted.

IIRC there were 2 'usual' deals for TF:
  • A lump sum, you pay for the ride regardless of damage/costs incurred - a single weekend/championship lump sum.
  • Pay a deposit for the ride and then top up with what you consume/grenade.
One being mega bucks... the other being even more!
