Some help with diagnostics please :-)

The sequence of events:

Drained battery - lights on
Charged battery via wheel arch when charging car responded to remote entry:
Started car - ran for 5 minutes
Tried to start car later, insufficient charge
Re-charged car - during charging didn't respond to remote entry
Started car drove home
Locked out of car - door closed window went up, did not respond to remote entry key.

Since then I have disconnected the battery for 1/2 hour - no effect
Removed 100 AMP fuse (broke in) - no effect

When I put the key in the car is completely dead, the clocks don't light up.
The only thing which is alive is the red LED next to the key.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Next action will do to look through all the fuses in the fuse box.

Sounds like the alternator is not charging the battery, Check the fuse in the engine bay and that the alternator it kicking out a charge.

I'd charge the battery again to get you back into the car and have some power to work with.

PS footwell 100A fuse for the fuse board supply cracked or broken? not easy to see on some variants of the fuse. Also check fuse under the air box for the alternator. Make sure main earth off alternator is secure & clean too.
