Well after following all the comments on last weeks shed a 20VT came up for sale locally with 33500 miles on it. Just been to view and drive it today and have bought it. I knew it was a bad idea following the posts so closely. Does anyone know of any specialists in the South Yorkshire/Derbyshire area?

From Derbyshire, you have a choice of two...

John at Midland Car Servicing in Sheshed, Leicestershire (a confirmed Coupe nutter)

Paul at Motormech in central Birmingham (this is who I've used for the last eight years for my highly-modded Coupe)

Both are very knowledgable on Coupes and very reasonable on prices

Was this the car I heard about, for sale on Archer Road?

You cant go far wrong with John at Midlands Car Servicing, he has looked after mine for the last 2+ years.

Peak Alfa also look after a few Coupes in the area, I think they are based near Hope???

Thanks for the feedback. After reading all the positive comments on John's work over on fccuk I have decided to take my Coupe to him.

Jonboy - It is the one from Archer road. I'm really happy with it so far. Only picked it up Thursday. I think i may need need to get a new thermostat fitted but apart from that and a service it's spot on. Did you see the car? I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it if you did.

Pattern thermostats don't last long on the 20vt, I would recommend a genuine one. Try alternative autos for the best price.
