Its now time to throw the Gaz nickles in the Bin,four years of adjusting and taking the car for four wheel alignment is over.

Im thinking Gaz Monos or Nitrons.

I want to have stiffer springs but at the same time get a nice ride , only doing one or two trackdays a year

How far should i go with the springs and another confusing thing is ive been told they can come with different valving.

Do all the nitrons come with the bottle attached and what does the bottle do.why are they not fitted to other shock absorbers cheers.

i need to sort this out first ,don`t want to make the same mistake.

Do the nickles and pro have the internals and I've noticed the springs come with the pros,so have they been tested to work to the optimum with the shock absorbers.

Are the Monos tailored by matching the spring rates to the valving thanks

Thanks for that,Im sure mine came with the 325/400 springs, so i need to go up around 50lb.does this mean if i go for the pro the valving will need to changed,or is it one fits all and only the Monos are bespoke

That sounds about right Darren.

I run 400/450, a bit stiffer, (oh,missus) but mine is used for the track more.

When you consider the standard setting is something like 275/325, that is far too soft and often bottoms at speed.

I run Monos and they have been excellent, no experience with Nitrons.

What problem are you hoping to overcome by the use of stiffer springs ?

The springs need uprating because of the power,so i have no option other than to fit uprated springs..Im sure 50lb stiffer will do the job .

All i need to know is what springs came with the dreaded nickels..

May be better shocks will address the issue?... My shocks are backed right off and the ride is nice... but loads of scope to turn them up!,,, I'd not go over these rates by much for road use.... try better shocks first....
