hi there, have just bought a set of nice chrome indicators for my tiger cat e1 but when i opened the box there is only 1 lead to connect them, the previous lights have 2 leads.....any ideas?

Do they mount with a screw into the body? If so that would be the earth.

^^^ This.

You probably need to use a ring terminal under one of the fixing screws to link to your earth wire, if you're fitting to a (non-conductive) fibreglass bodyshell.

It'll be because as the unit mounts to the metal car body the mounting screws acts as the earth point, the wire that is attached to it is the positive cable. Obviously with your grp body that won't work so just add a wire from under one of the mounting screws and lead the wire to a convenient earth point.

now that sounds like a plan!!!!! excellent, thankyou for your help, never thought of it needing a earth wire! well chuffed i can still use them as they are beautys!
