A friend is looking for a RS4, he has asked for service history and VIN so he can check it with Audi and hasn't got a response yet.

I would say that is a scam.

Judging by the sellers high feedback score but not much feedback in the past 6 month, my guess would be on it being a hacked ebay account.

The fact it is classified will probably be to either get you to pay cash for a stolen car or to get you to pay a 'deposit' by bank transfer.

So far the car has had 35 'offers' on it, so assuming the scammer has managed to persuade 50% of them to pay a £1k deposit then thats a fair bit of money in his bank account!

Maybe the ph massive should have some fun with it. Bombard the seller with daft questions for starters, "whats in the ashtray?", "does it have a steering wheel?" etc etc. Could even put in some ridiculous offers. biggrin
