Has that starter and exhaust been together on the same car before? Seems unlikely they would just suddenly start colliding... I know the pipe is close to the solenoid on my car but not THAT close!

no new manifolds and new starer i have had a look at superwedge (daves) 350i and the starter looks the same so may have to bring a small oxy set home from work heat up were it hits and beat the s**T out of it till it fits

Hi Barrington
i Resolved my issues with my starter and the one i brough was smaller in length, i got it from Brookwells Tel 01626833648 and part number is RTC606IN price £62.00, I would say it about 1 inch shorter mate, good luck or failing that get a bloody big hammer lol
