First thoughts would be backlash in the diff. or a worn wheel bearing.

I'm not a mechanic so cannot advise how to check for these, but may be worth a search to find some prior threads, symptom descriptions and adice.

I had something similar to this a while back. It will continue to get worse if you don't look at it, but thankfully its not too bad a job.

It turned out to be that the bolts holding the back of the Diff to the car were coming loose. One of these was very nearly out on mine. If they get too loose there is a risk of movement and the bolt shearing off....which will get expensive to resolve.

Raise the back of the car, crawl underneath and try to tighten the bolts (4 I think). I think they were a hex fitting and the top ones were quite hard to get to, needing various combinations of sockets + extensions.
Don't just look at them and think they are OK, mine looked fine, but when I checked them they were really loose.

Had a similar sounding problem, was just diff mounting bolts and it's cheap and simple to rectify if this is the case. Made it the long way back from France with this problem, so not a show stopper. If you can get it sorted out promptly it's always a good idea, particularly if it differs with the problem I had.

Good luck,

Steve.

Had a similar problem, diff bushes worn, cheap enough to buy, can be a bit of a sod to do mind.
