Can anyone recommend a simple and inexpensive software solution for traking jobs and workflow?

We have a team of 6 designers, and upto a dozen or so "clients". What we need to do is have a system where we can book the job in against a designer, and have the ability for the designer and the client to get progress reports on the jobs. We also need to be able to see designer availabilty when booking in jobs.

We don't want to spend a lot of money

TIA

Yeah - I know Access quite well, and we have an IT department who can develop stuff. You think this might be the simplest way forward?

Have a browse of http://sf.net or www.freshmeat.net and see if anything there tickles your fancy.

Its certaintly going to be the cheapest.

It also means that the ownership of the application is in your complete control rather than having to request enhancements.

Its very simple functionality thats required, why not have a poke?
