It's not even a real fried egg, it's easily defriedeggable I think, you can de-amber the inside and use a silver bulb.

Lovely car though !

I am guilty of being a big 996 hater and all that car represents. That car (Along with the boxster) signalled a sea change in priorities at Porsche, i.e; manufacturing cost vs engineering integrity.

But, they are looking sort of cool now, and there is no doubt about their performance. Perhaps some of us have failed to move with the times.

Enjoy your car. It is a Porsche.

thanks for the compliments
its a standard 3.4 but its a replaced engine, a silsleeve engine from autofarm & was used as a project car, the engine was replaced to see how the new units with silsleeve ran,
its good as it gets i think, i am also guilty of not being a fan when they came out but the looks have won me over, i am looking to have it as a keeper until the gen 2 997 comes within my price range, until then i will enjoy

What does a car like that cost (if it isn't rude to ask) ?

Nice.
I like your strategy, 911 ownership without engine worries !!
996 with Autofarm engine then 997 Gen2 without earlier 997 issues !

Perfect, enjoy.

S'funny, I'd always wondered if there was an agenda behind your posts.

No agenda at all. I am a genuine Porsche enthusiast and my views are entirely my own.

I have never liked the 996 from the day it was born for numerous reasons.

SORRY: But this photo of the back of my trailer just HAS to be posted......Knowing it is shoved into the face of our Colonist "Pork" owners faces for a mile or two while blocking the road with my truck and trailer is another way I get my TVR "Grin". Some of the "Pork" owners see the humour and others, well, they are the ones that make me do things like this.

I have to admit......It is a nice piece of "Pork"

I had a 3.4 and a 3.6 996 - both excellent cars and now terrific value. Really does benefit from the PSE though.

I'm up for poking fun but I don't get it.
Do you mean a Boxster is for girls because so many drive them?

"Because Porsches are for Bankers" would have been better.

You don't need the " " on Porshes by the way.

We need a Porshe to keep our hair dry while we stand at the front door fumbling in our massive handbags for our door key.
