I used to drive the southern section of the M25 daily however that was a number of years ago.
Assuming things haven't improved much so thought I would ask forum members
Driving clockwise from Dartford Tunnel to M3 at say 7.00am what is like nowadays.
Alternatively if you were going from Greenwich to Kingston upon Thames would you just drive straight through town and down the A3?

from the tolls, on an average day at that time, still crap in all the normal places.
the run down the hill to the split at j4, then the queue from there upto clacketts, and so on and so forth.

Agreed. Except that j4 is the exit for Bromley (A21) and Orpington (A224). The downhill run comes after that. The M25/A21 split is at j5.

Exect to queue fairly solidly at the time from J9 onwards towards J12.

To have a clear run you need to be passing J10 before 7am (even then it's busy, but moving)
