The new XF Shootingbrake (aka estate) has restarted an old arguement with me and my friends

I think there are many cars that look better in estate format - the Jag is one of these

who else agrees and what examples can you give?

Might also help my convince SWMBO when buying the next car

cheers

I had an E30 318i touring, I always thought it looked far better than the saloon

Pretty much any Volvo - the estates carry off the boxy look so much better than the saloon versions.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any modern examples which don't.

The Octavia, especially the vRS looks far better as an estate. Even though I have the hatchback version......

It might be better to ask are there any estates that look worse than their saloon / hatchback counterparts? I can't think of many.

edit: I've thought of one - the original Renault Laguna.
