Off to Copenhagen for a few days at the weekend, much of the time will be spent with friends but was wondering if anyone had suggestions for things to do / places to go for any free time I might have.

( Free time might end up being spent recovering from hangovers, these trips do tend to involve significant sampling of local brews wink , but I don't think I should rely on being hungover every morning as the entirity of my holiday planning! )

jump on one one the barge tours that operate out of the town centre, nice way to see some of the sights, however do not then decide to eat where the boats arrive/depart without arranging a second mortage for a burger and fries

Check with your hotel if they have any bikes, and if you can reserve one.

When you cycle around, you'll see this tower :

Go to it and climb up it.

Really don't bother going out to see the mermaid.

The places I've eaten weren't fantastic, the missus raves about :

Sorry i can't recall the name of the restaurant, but when i was there a few years ago we ate at a rather tasty steak house. All i can remember is it was very large, with white exterior and was in the town centre.

The meal we had was fantastic.
