I'll soon be furnishing a house and as I'm a young single bloke with no taste, I firmly believe some car derived furniture would fit in perfectly.

I'm thinking sofa and chairs made from a car interior, in a similar style to the Top Gear furniture.

Obviously I want something leather, comfy and good looking. Any electric adjustment, heated seats etc will be connected up, so the fancier the better really.

If it where your house, what car interior would you use?

It has to be either seats from a Jaguar or an Alfa Romeo.

I'd go Volvo/Saab. Mount a pair into a frame with the electrics included...

Or go retro: http://www.steelysam.co.uk/zodiac.htm

Seats in my Saab 9-5 are amongst the most comfortable i've ever sat in. Volvo ones were pretty good too, as were the Recaro's in my Golf GTi. smile

Been there, done that. Rover 3-Litre leather 3 piece suite(oddly only one with a headrest) Cragar 5 spoke/General Grabber coffee table. Amazingly still convinced an actual real woman to move in and eventually marry me. Now nearly 30 years on I think p38 Range Rover seats would make perfect furniture, plenty of scrap ones about nearly all plush piped leather.

I haven't got any seat suggestions, but keep in mind the sofa won't be all that comfortable if you bring a girl home and things go your way wink
