Just a few pics of my supercharger install.
Spec is 5.4L V8Developments engine with a C38-81 Rotrex blower, waste gate to control boost pressure, charge cooler keeping it all cool, sequential fuel and spark control to make it all work nicely.

All shiney after powder coating everything I could using a DIY powder coating kit,
Phil

Thanks for that. I've no idea of the figures, I havent tuned it as yet. The issue is the compression ratio, its 10.4:1 so I have to keep control of the boost level, hence the waste gate.

Like it ,Im surprised you did not whip the heads off and fit thicker gaskets ..How come it`s short of the gizzmos fitted to the SCPOWER charger kits.

What is the difference between a charge cooler and intercooler?

What's the advantage of going fully sequential, the motec I use can drive 8 injectors but with out a cam sensor is really worth the effort ?

I didnt want to lose any of the off boost responce, it currently accelerates 0-60 in 3.6Sec without the blower, so giving it a little boost (5-7psi) should get it up to 450BHP quite easily. This is fast enough for me, probably faster than I can drive to be honest. If it can take 7psi then I will leave it at that. Im not going to push it to the limit, I just wanted to do it to stop me getting bored over winter.

Dont need any of the stuff that come with the other kits as it has a MegaSquirt ECU running it, this doesnt have a MAF, it uses a MAP sensor, so no need to worry about recycling air back after the MAF, I simply dump it to atmosphere.

A charge cooler uses water to cool the air, rather than air. This is far more efficient at cooling, but it is more complex as you need to cool the water with its own radiator. I had no room for an intercooler, so a charge cooler was my only option, they are much smaller.

In theory it should give you a better throttle responce and if you can change the fueliing angle, then you could increase efficiency. But wether that works in the real world I couldnt say. Shaun and I messed with angles, etc on the dyno at V8D and couldnt get any difference in power. It may help an ITB setup though.
cheers,
Phil

Just out of question, what made you use a MAP sensor for mapping and not TPS? Or do you use both?
