Does anyone have any tips as to how to stop the front bolts from spinning wildly whilst trying to bolt the damn things into the cat? I can get a spanner on the rear bolts but cant seem to get to the front ones at all to hold them steady.

From memory I had another nut under each locking the bolt into place, got a strip of wood under each runner to brace the floor and raise the height by 7 mm

Don't ask why 7mm its a comfort thing lol

Also got steel bar to brace the floor on the outside to make more secure.

Wedge in a screwdriver between bolt and runner. Should do the trick.

Fitting Tuscan seats has been on my 'to do' list for a while now, I just can't seem to find any in that are in good condition, a suitable colour, and not silly money! frown

Have you tried this place?

http://www.bellhillgarage.com/tvrparts.htm

I didn't know they had such a wide selection of TVR parts until yesterday so perhaps they can help you.

Not sure if I've tried them yet but most of the breakers appear to apply a hefty 'TVR Tax' to their scrap bits and I'm hopeing to get a pair without the need for a second mortgage. wink

My word, my spelling gets sh*t after a few beers! Apologies all round. The cat, is needless to say still intact and does not (as yet) resemble Herman Munster!

Just out of interest, can you give an idea of what 'not silly money' would be just in case I decide to sell a pair of Ocean green/cream?

The ones on eBay seem fair at £800 as they appear brand new, all be it the wrong colour for me so only a good buy if they were grey.
Silly money was the breaker who was recently trying to sell a pair that looked they had been involved in a BIG crash for the same money!
For a pair of 'honest wear' used seats in the right/nearly right colour I think £500ish is fair, any more than that and other make seats start looking good, I recently looked at a Chimaera fitted with Honda S2000 seats which can be had for half that and looked surprisingly good but were a bit tight on the fitment, or Elise seats. rotate

I got mine all black Tuscan seats for £180 back in 2003

Had to remove them myself from the wrecked Tuscan

Those were the days when you wonder round a scrap yard and find the bits you needed, got the Leven pedals for £10 LOL

Those were the days,

I get my pipe & slippers lol
