apologies if re-post, but first attempt at reply has apparently disappeared
Hate to nitpick Italo, but of a Geneva unveil next week, that'll be the old Roding:

Looks bit like a R8 designed by someone only allowed to use a ruler... with maybe a dash of Hyundai Coupe at the front

, and yes it is an old concept, kind of X-bow meets R8...
Thanks Italo. Does this highlight an increasing trend? There are probably others, but over the last few years Consulier (went on become Mosler), Shelby Supercars (no, the other Shelby), Gumpert, and now Roding have seen the light in terms of the value of professional design input.
The next evolution is for mfrs realise that this input is most effective upfront, if only because design input + development costs is demonstrably cheaper than development cost + design input + re-development costs....

Very true indeed....Gumpert did go to Touring last year.., Shelby did get Jason Castriota to design their supercar and did a very good design job in my opinion. The next evolution is for mfrs realise that this input is most effective upfront, if only because design input + development costs is demonstrably cheaper than development cost + design input + re-development costs....

I'm sure he'll be deeply troubled (
) but I think Castriota is overrated: witness Bertone Mantide, R-R Hyperion & Saab PhoeniX. The Tuatara however is properly good supercar stuff. If todays small boys still put posters on their walls instead of porn on their phones, it'd be of this. As TG seemed to do some kind of exclusive deal when it first appeared, was hoping it might get featured in current series now that it's been properly launched.Gassing Station | Kit Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
