Interior light problem

Both my lights work if you switch them to the on position. But, if you have it in the door position then nothing comes on.
Do you think its a problem with the yellow relay in the footwell? Anyone know if they are used in another car if so as i can nip to the scrappers.
Cheers

I tends to be the connection to the plunge switch that the door pushes against. When you remove it. Be caresful not to drop the connection back inside the seal.Do you think its a problem with the yellow relay in the footwell? Just to finish this thread off.
Ford wanted 43+vat for the relay. Finally got round to going to the scrap yard. Ended up with a yellow relay that was a little shorter and slightly different numbers but said interior light control or something on it.
Stuck it in and all is now well. Lights stay on for 20 odd seconds once youve shut the door so happy days
