Their current offer of 'buy one year, get one year free' has my wallet twitching. £52ish for 24 issues - just over £2 an issue.

Seems like a pretty good deal for a magazine that I have to say has improved quite a bit since I last purchased it regularly.

Anyone recently subscribed? Is there a snag somewhere? Is it Direct Debit and they hope you will forget to cancel or just a one off payment?

I have thought about doing it too.

IMO it is a quality magazine with decent reviews. biggrin

For a little over £2 a month I think it is a great deal given that I purchase it on and off throughout the year a full price anyway. Have really enjoyed the last few issues and has engaged me more than Evo if I am honest (long term Evo subscriber, still only 40p off per issue for my troubles!)

Yeah, I have only just started buying it as weekly mags were getting too dear for what you got. I prefer it to EVO (like yourself).

Sorry, I can't comment regarding the deal though. smile

Dear HS,

I'm a long time subscriber. I'm still buying it = must be good smile

The only mag I can compare it to is th' Autocar (I see it at work) as I don't read Evo.
There's a degree of industry news and some over descriptive coming-soon-cars puff but the reason to buy are the staffers' personal columns, the special articles and the road tests, miles (oops, pun intended) better,

regards,
Jet

I think the mag has improved as of late and the photography is great ( although they occasionally seem to use special effects on some shots )

I'm a long time subscriber as well, however I find the cheapest way for a subscription is to use Tescos vouchers as the are worth 3-4 times as much on line.

So a years subscriptions to car has cost me £18 in Tesco vouchers
