I'm planning a house move into London, so, given a new likely annual milage of 4-6k (down from current 10-12k) would you :

a) Keep 3200 cos it's great. Ok it'll still be depreciating and I'll not be using it, but its so lovely why not keep it for ever...

b) Go truly exotic on the basis of new low milage and trade in for a 512-TR? (Mmmm v12!)

c) Sell 3200 and go for 308GTB and pocket some cash?

Come on - someone musst be able to persuade me that a 512-TR won't eat me or my bank account for breakfast
(And yes I know the sensible answer is don't have a car in London, but thats not an option!)

Get the 512 or keep the Maser.

Simple eh?

Mate, I am quite sure you are aware nobody in this nuthouse is going to encourage you to doing anything sensible.

V12 - nothing like it.

Quite!

Get the 512 and speak to manu or ajay about sticking a sersiously loud exhaust system on it.

I knew I could count on the nuthouse to back me up

Really don't want to loose the 3200, but it does seem a shame to have a car more than capable of 15k a year in the garage and hardly drive it at all. If I was still gonna use it as much as I do now there would be no way I'd part with it!

Given the opportunity however to run something truly majestic (ie V12) and do so 'economically' i.e. for low milage - it seems daft not to investigate. Seems I will ahve to go off on a little search for 512-TR's. Now with a Tubi on one of those you could casue a serious racket. I might even get close to giving Tony's diablo a run for its money in the sound stakes! Still best not get too excited at this stage, an accountant is bound to step in and suggest otherwise...

(Now about that countach )

Sell the Mazzer, dont move house, sell your current house and buy a Murcielago

If the mileage is going to drop go for the V12. Pure aural sex!

No brainer methinks...

DO IT! (can I book a ride at a future Vmax in it now?)

Anjum seemed to think they were pretty reasonable to run (hes eventually going to cost me soooo much money for saying that!)

www.saclassics.com/showroom.php?make=Lamborghini I blame this whole forum for this evil link. I have absolutely no money, so many cars for a future collection, such a long wait till anythings financially favourable

As good as the 3200 is, I will share with you my motto which I use to guide me in life ...

So many great cars, so little time!

Get a 12-cylinder monster, you know it makes sense! And to make your decision easier, I'll agree to swap cars with you for the weekend every once in while so you can remind yourself the pleasures of a 3200.

Rich, you know it makes sense. Buy sensibly and it won't cane you on the depreciation or service costs.

There's a red Countach in Wapping and it looks and sounds absolutely awesome.... it IS the the absolute original supercar and still shocks in the same way it did all those years ago.... and also the F512 just doesn't have those doors!

Just picture yourself heading down to Le Mans next year in one!!!... I could even excuse you nipping off to wash it every day

Tony, you are a bad bad influence! Theres me being 'sensible' and thinking ferrari and you go and put those pics up. What am I supposed to do eh?

Rather fancy the black one actually!

Still first things first, got to get the house situation sorted out, but in the meantime the hunt is on. Figure I should at least drive a Countach and a 512 before coming to a decision - it would be rude not to...

Well if you want to buy a V12 your choice is easy - a 512TR hasn`t got one!
