Satellite Radio for Porsche

Increasing take up of XM radio in the US

Porsche will offer XM Radios (satellite) as factory-installed equipment on US models of the Cayenne next year.

Porsche vehicles with XM Radio will come with a three-month trial subscription to the XM service, which offers more than 120 channels of commercial-free music and news, sports, talk, and entertainment programming in crystal-clear sound from coast to coast.

"We are very pleased that a renowned automaker such as Porsche will offer XM Radio beginning this fall," said Hugh Panero, President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio. "XM's availability as a factory-installed feature on Porsche vehicles is further proof of XM's fast-growing popularity."

Customers can now place orders for the 2005 Porsche models equipped with XM Radio at Porsche dealers across the continental U.S.

In the US, XM radio is gaining increasing acceptance. XM's programming features 100 coast-to-coast digital channels: 71 music channels, more than 30 of them commercial-free, from hip hop to opera, classical to country, bluegrass to blues; and 29 channels of sports, talk, children's and entertainment. XM brings to the car the same diverse selection of news sources available in the home on cable and satellite.
