Is he going to let you know? Did you get his collar number and name so you can follow it up with him, if he forgets/neglects to ring you?

He didn't ask for any contact details, which suprised me. TBH I left with the impression I'd wasted my time. From that and a previous experience at the same station I doubt I'll bother plod again

I guess my next contact with the police will be for speeding, or after getting a rectification notice for the race can on the bike.

Don't be like that Nige...I've had several crap meals in restaurants, but my wife and I still dine out regularly......

Keep up the good work....If you had called to see me, you'd have left thinking;
"What a great guy, he made me feel valued and really took an interest in what I had to say...even promised to call me back later and let me know the result.."

Bobbies face all sorts of enquiries and investigations every day and it's a sad fact that we obviously deal with the dirtier and seeder side of life. As a result, it often affects officers to the point of being rather detached at times...and this can appear negative...

(A honest reflection of modern policing there for you)
