Went into Macolls in Maidstone earlier to get a packet of crisps and they have priced up single packets of McCoys Steak at £1.05 each.
A couple of months ago they were 97p each and they sat there so long they eventually sold them at 2 for 50p or something as they were running out of date.
Do people seriously pay over £1 for a single pack of normal size crisps ?

I decided against a bag the other day because it was 49p, it seems I'm in for a shock if I get hungry away from the local area.
I did pay £1.25 for a bottle of Pepsi Max the other day and noticed it had "£1.05 RRP" printed on the side (BP Garage).
My bugbear at the moment is paying the same amount for less - where you used to get 6 of something you now get 5.

Lotus owners are notoriously stingy - the prospect of a mahoosive bill never being that far away...
most of the crisps in the machine at work are between 65 and 85p a pack ranging between non descript brands to kettle chips... a lovely co worker lady has set up a tuck shop in response. she buys multi packs ans does crisps wotsits etc at 20p a pack for full size packets... she is raking in the cash... good on her i say i can get my fave seabrooks cheese an onion for 20 p over the robbing b

£2.49 must be the "just about to go to £2.49 for two tubes" price - another theme at the moment seems to be to hike prices so that they can bring them down to just slightly over what they normally are as a "special".Wasn't that long ago they were 99p
