The depth from the outer edge of the inner rim to the inside of the wheel center is 183mm on a 10" rim.

The offside clears but the nearside outrigger needed adjusting by a couple of mm.

Well i have put a tape measure in the front of the rear tyre and measured inwards to where ts hits the outrigger and there is only about 10mm`s of space each way, that is with a 8j rim with an offset of 35 ,the tyre is 245/40/17

If i went for a 9j with the 225/40/17 it could hit the outrigger.

If you go for ET 30 with a 9j rim it will push the tyre out 18mm which would be OK

The tyre specialist explained there is a masive difference in tyre width even if they are the same size .

Its all down to the brand you go for .

Isnt there a saying?

Measure 3 times.... something hehe

I bet some cars chassis will allow for a little more also.
But as Peter said, 'adjustments' can be made.

They are my balls Daz. Balls of steel.

255/50/16 Mickey Thompson street ETs.
Squeezed onto standard 16" rears.
I really need a pair of wider rims for them.

How far do they clear the top wishbone and the outrigger which comes down on an angle ,they must be real close to the corner of the tyre..could you have a look. cheers
