Which other bike forums do you frequent?

Just getting into mountain biking and really enjoying it at the moment.

Not sure what type of riding it is but would like to find out more about route's like section 13 at hamsterly.

Any feedback is appreciated.

singletrackworld is good for MTB stuff, and there's a very busy section on bikeradar

As above singletrack is good if a little cliquey - bit like PH then! biggrin

Bikeradar, southern downhill, Pinkbike.

Just remember Mountain Biking is enjoyed by Adults and Kids alike... This one is probably the most adult / sensible.

Cheers and thanks for pointing those facts out will be very similar to the karting forums then. I.e. take everything with a pinch of salt and there's no substitute for testing.

Well, I think that so perfectly fits the criteria of the Tyne & Wear dwelling, mountain biking OP that we might as well get the thread closed now! hehe

YACF is good for the 'unusual' bikes (I have a Brompton!)

Oh buckets of the stuff on certain boards.

I once read a thread on BikeRadar, something like "what's a safe height to drop to flat on a hardtail" started off with the pendants asking for every single variable, rider weight, frame type, which forks, wheels, 'how flat is flat' what type of ground etc - of course once the OP had dutifully posted his Gran's inside leg measurement none of them actually posted back with their opinion.

Then of course came the 14-year-old keyboard warriors, "I drop 2m to flat everyday on my paper round" "pfft that's nothing, I drop 3m onto a box of broken milk bottles twice a day" "pfft I nose drop 8m on this trail me and my mates build on a rigid"...

London SS forum full of snobs, unless you have a fixie they wont talk to you.

retrobikes is good, they are all friendly on there, also ratrodbikes if you are into cruisers or choppers.

cylechat is ok, but they are also a bit cliquy (am sure I spelt that wrong :-)).

southerndownhill.com if you're into gravity stuff, though all are welcome there.
