E39 M5 torque figures

Hi,

Does anyone know roughly what the ratio is for torque figures at the flywheel and driving wheels for an E39 M5? I've just had mine Dyno'd but only have a flywheel figure and I'd like a ballpark figure for the driving wheels.

whatever the figure x 0.82-0.85 should give you a wheel figure, but of course tyre temp and tyre/wheel weight can effect the numbers.

Normally the dyno is worked out from a wheel figure then a multiplier is added to work out flywheel figures, ask the dyno operator his multiplier and you will get an accurate wheel figure

Vixpy1 or M5Pilot on PH will have the answers............there should be plenty of info US sites too because they tend to focus more on wheel power figures rather than fly.

My 2p says 312 wheel torque ~ 16.5% transmission loss ~ 373/4 flywheel torque
