Switchable speakers from Sonos source...
Discussion
Hi,
Currently planning and getting together all the equipment to add a bit of music to our dining room and kitchen. The kitchen and dining room will be open plan and in an L shape.
I am planning on sinking a set of Anthony Gallo A'Divas into the ceiling of each room and having a single Sonos ZP120 power both sets of speakers. It would be nice to have these switchable so I was thinking of using a QED WM15 switch so I can have either set of speakers on or both at the same time.
Has anybody done anything similar or know if this is possible or even the right way to do things?
Any help or advice appreciated!

I'd put the £115 towards another ZP120.
Run both sets of speaker wire to the same place, and have both connected to the ZP120 to start off with (worst case you can disconnect one set if you decide you don't want them both on at the same time) and then add another ZP later. Because you don't have to use the controls on the Zone Players, it doesn't matter where you put them (controlled by an app on your phone/idevice etc).

Not sure I'd go for a second ZP90. In an open plan L shaped room, it would seem unlikely that you'd want different audio streams from each pair of speakers.
We have a similar set up, but using one ZP90 feeding an amp, with one pair of A'Divas running as pair A off the amp and the other as pair B. This allows us to use only A or only B or both via the amp. This was mostly dictated by the fact that we already had the amp before we got the Sonos kit.

I am running 8 speakers of an amp with zone A and zone B. put 2 pairs of speakers in each zone and is running fine. I thought I would be switching the zones on and off but generally just leave them running both A and B. Was going to purchase a second sonos for the area but now ditched the idea.
