As per the title, Motorsport events hold a 1 to 1 half day tuition at Keevle runway. Anyone done one? Any feedback?
I'm looking to get myself down there to have a safe play in the Tuscan to learn its limits etc.
£350 for a half day 1 to 1 doesnt seem too bad!

I've not done the 1/2 day tuition but have taken a few of their 20 minute slots at their track days, their instructors are very good, I've had Irling Jenson a few times he's very good as is Ed Moore.

Depends on who the trainer is.

On a trackday, tuition averages £25 for 20 minutes - effectively £225 for three hours.

Agreed! But you would still need to pay the track day fee as well as the tuition fee and with the tuition, its only the two of you and the one car, no other cars are present.

For someone new to TVR such as myself, I just felt it may be of benefit to learn how they react when pushed to their limits.

£350 for half a day? That's a bit steep. I would expect top-notch race tuition for that.

It is

Highly recommended, Ed is a top bloke and has trained several champions (of which I was NEARLY one rage ) he's also a Champion himself ofcourse.
He's a factory instructor for AM and others and did stunt tuition for D Craig.
Get yourself along and say hello.

More important is his tuition style. Lots of good racers...not many good instructors.

Interesting, is this the main Keevil course or the second smaller course MSE sometimes setup for experience days when a normal track day is using the main course?

£700 per day inclusive of the venue fee is amazing value I'd always assumed private day hire at Keevil would be at least a few thousand.

Hi everyone, I have not posted on here before but I just wanted to chip in. The cost of £350 for half a day with Ed at Keevil is for Ed and the whole airfield to yourself i.e. no other cars at all! Ed structures the session for the individual and we set out the main track and other bits and pieces around the whole site. It really is very very good value and a superb experience in acres of space.

I hope no one minds me posting!

I think if you get Ed that's very good value. I'd defy anyone not to learn a lot from it.
