Ted, this might be a silly idea, but run with me for a second on this one...

Post rankings..

I'm not sure how much server load this would impose, but I was thinking....

I've seen, on other forums, view counters for posts, as in replies X views Y... so maybe we could rank posts?.?.? as in, this type of post gets Y number of views...

And off the back of that we could have post rankings.. as in.. slinky has posted R number of posts with an average of S viewings, so therefore his ranking is R/S..

Like I say, it might be a silly idea, but it's an idea none-the-less..

btw it kinda comes from reading an old pistonslap about carzee attempting to beat you on postings.. surely it wouldn't be possible for him to beat you on ranking!!!

I don't record viewing figures for threads as it would create an immense about of database write activity. The read activity alone keeps a fairly monstrous server pretty busy at some times of day . Adding write activity too would bring it to its knees

had a feeling that might be the case, hence the silly idea title!!!

From the time of the post, I can confirm that it was slightly alcoholicly enhanced!
