It's all gone very quiet, what are you lot up too then?

Well, I'm working my knackers off, bloody busy at the moment which is encouraging.
On with the knitty gritty stuff on the car so that "should" be ready in 3 or 4 weeks time.
Trailer is going in for covering mid March.
Diet now started and 2KG lost up to now. Starting weight was 106KG, target weight 96KG. Any lighter and I look like Mr Burns off the Simpsons and I can't swing a pair of 36" Stilsons!

Yeah its gone really busy here over the last few weeks, I even ended up working in lanzarote for a week...<itsahardlife>
Tuscan is still sat in the truck, with a corner missing, although I do have a new panel for it now.
just need to stick it on and find someone to paint it.
But I also have the Chimaera sat in the drive blocking the way, and that needs the chassis back under it before I can move it doh... and i keep working weekends...
got plenty of not tvr weekends lined up running a pair of FIA historic MGB's and trip to LM classic running a pre war citroen.
Im hoping to do a couple of TVR rounds and a few others as well plus hopefully spa again
Cheers
Graham

Car’s been rolling roaded & the engine seems OK given it’s got a season under its belt. I’ve now decided to run it without the aero as it would’ve all needed modifying to meet the revised MSA regs coming into effect this year (extract below for those who didn’t know!). It’s getting a thorough going over this week after being mothballed for the past couple of years and having some minor changes made too. Looking forward to doing some testing April onwards.

Extract from 2012 MSA Blue Book:
“J 5.2.7. Aerodynamic devices may only be fitted to Racing and Sports Racing Cars (unless prohibited by an Approved Formula), or where specifically permitted, where FIA homologated, or where complying with National type approval. Such devices may not extend beyond the maximum width of the vehicle, above the maximum height of any roof or extend longitudinally from the bodywork by more than 100mm.”
This safety addition caught my eye too:
“J 5.19.2. The vehicle occupant(s), seated in their normal position, wearing normal equipment, with seat belts fastened and the steering wheel in place, must be able to evacuate the cockpit in a maximum of 7 seconds.”
. . . so beware you fat boys trying to squeeze out of those seats! . . . you know who you are!
Lets hope they don’t time us as part of scrutineering! . . . it might be a laugh as a paddock competition though?
