Was a good day out today and stunning sunshine in the afternoon. We were there in the putrid Green Volvo so sorry if we impeded anyone's progress but glad that some of our very deserving army lads got to go out in it for a laugh!

Ahh good to see a few PHers at thrux. Sorry i couldn't get back on the forum, was rushing to get the car road worthy!

Was a good day and very exhilarating and super fast track!

Unfortunately i had a major talent failure and caved the side of my M3 in. Doh!

When he says caved he is bragging. I'd call it a mere smear. Caved is something much more sphincter testing.

The Mission Motorsport set up was incredible. (missionmotorsport.org) If anyone ever hears me bhing about standing on a pitwall in the rain, ever, just slap me and remind me about the things the injured soldiers live with day by day.

Mind you, many laps in the speed of light Volvo seemed to put a smile on many faces.

I didnt see that, where did the talent failure occur?

I was 'cruising' round in my RX8, great day with glorious sun.

Shall find the fate of the m3 on friday after insurance bloke takes a poke around. Then onto the jig to see if the chassis is bent, then back onto the track.

That volvo had some serious looking brakes on it!

When you're needing to stop nearly 2 tonnes of car you will need big brakes! I must say that the brakes on the car do get frequent attention trackside, because they do look out of place on a Volvo, but you may be surprised to hear that they're entirely standard!! As a matter of fact, apart from anti-roll bars, a front mount intercooler, exhaust and remap, the car has a standard Volvo engine,suspension and running gear, and is used my daily drive when I'm not hooning it and having some fun around circuits - not bad for a "D5"
