T5 gearbox, hole cover??

Just went under my car and saw a big round hole under the gearbox, u could see the clutch etc... Is there supposed to be a cover here??? Looks scary!

yes.. a big black one.. but i guess a few have gone?... they can be a sod to get back in unless you sit them in boiling water... so i think a lot get chucked away...
should be okay without?

Its a hiding place for refugees did you check inside the hole ?

I just bought one from Race tech direct after finding mine was also missing

Not really needed to be honest - we don't use it on the racer. But then we have also cut away just behind the slave area so that gravel etc can't get trapped in the bellhousing and burst a pipe when pressing the clutch (been there, done that lol).
