Lots and lots of rumours been flying around locally recently, both regarding Megson looking for another job and Milan already interviewing for the position at Wednesday.

Not a surprise to see him go tonight at all.

Seems similar to the Huddersfield sacking a couple of weeks ago - from the outside in the lower leagues everything looks rosey but speak to some local fans and things are quickly put into a different light.

Rumours were that Mandaric had approached Dave Jones, so Megson reported him to the league managers association.

The curse of being 3rd in the league strikes again.

Its a week of highs and lows for us. Many rumours doing the rounds as our form going into the derby match was poor. Many rumours present with regard to the replacement. Seems to be down to dave jones or mick Mccarthy

I'd prefer the letter although to be honest i'd have kept megson over either of them

its never boring being a wednesday fan i'll tell you....

Madness isn't it. Dave Jones seems a nailed in certainty and he was no doubt lined up before last Sunday's derby game.

I'd take Megson over Jones, McCarthy, Clark (who I used to mark as a nipper funnily enough) or Ince!

Dave Jones used to manage the team I support (Stockport) and did a fantastic job with very little resources. You do well with him I imagine. I dont know enough about Megson to compare.

Megson is one of those whining, moaning ginger bds who always finds one excuse or another when his team don't win ... I hate the fker.

He was on Radio 5 last year in some studio with another t of work manager saying how hard it was to get another job in football after being given the sack - err stop whining mate. Having been a manager on a decent screw for a long time DO NOT sit there pathetically moaning that you need another job to keep the wolf from the door you nob.

And I can flame him for being a ginger as I am one meself!

Yup he is a bit of a nutter (pissed about with Redknapp and every other manager ) - dunno how someone so destructive earned such wealth

Megson was told he was going after the Chesterfield game.

Jones was approached last week before the derby match.

Kinda explains the players responses after they scored during the game.
