Reverse light switch.

Dear all,

I once again call upon your considered advice!

My reversing light has stopped working. It's not a blown bulb, and I'm hoping it's just that the conncetor onto the switch on the gearbox has come off. However, if it's neither of these I'm assuming the switch has failed unless you can suggest otherwise? In which case...

Two part question:

1) Has anyone managed to replace the reverse light switch with the gearbox and passenger side manifold in situ?

and

2) Is the switch above the gearbox oil level?
