Im potentially just about to buy a set of these in medium compound but not used before. (used almost everything else!)

Can anyone comment of the life of these tyres please?

They come with less tread depth than other Race/Track tyres and Im wondering if its false economy to buy these instead of getting another set of 888's. It would save me quite a bit if I went for Kumho but not if they don't last. (relative to serious track use!!)

Thanks

Have used both. The kumho's last the same as 888's but they are quite hard on the road. The 888's are by any criteria the better tyre and less harsh.

Tim, You should try the Federal FZ201's, they are much more stable with no overheating and they last longer with no strange wear.

Hi Bo wavey

Just bought some 888's yesterday, got 2 big days at Oulton Friday (Porsche RS day) and Saturday, I need to keep up!!

I would seriously consider the Federal FZ 201, we put a set of the 595's on a 300 bhp car of Bens and they were MILES worse than a proper control tyre. (I know they are not really in that class)

Be good to see you when you are in this neck of the woods

No, Oulton Park have priced themselves out of time Attack this year, so we are doing 2 rounds at sunny Anglesey instead ;-)
