I had forgotten how much fun a great hot hatch on a great road could be.

An emptyish A507 in the sunshine.

Absolutely ragged it for a few miles on my favourite bit of road and had a big grin going on. Love this country sometimes and those frenchies know about at least 3 things...

How to make wine, how to eat and how to make a hatchback go round a corner.

You waited til today to drop the roof?!

Was on the 507 briefly today too, reasonably clear, roof down - Freebird on the stereo, job jobbed.

Almost light enough to take the long (A507) way to work in the morning. Game on!

Bet that's a lot of fun to drive coming from the Scud, when you really know what the limits of a car are.

Scud is obviously much faster in absolute terms and pretty agile with it but on a road like that I reckon there's very little that could put any distance between itself and the Megane. Its got loads of grip, fantastic brakes and decent grunt.

Its a great stretch of road and all too short sadlyfrown

If you want somebody to drive the Scud whilst you pilot the Megane to test that theory, I could be persuaded!
