As the title says - I cannot open the boot, the fuse is OK but the solenoid seems to be stone dead. The Bible has nothing about it, so where is it and does anyone have experience in replacing it? PS I have got the lid open using the "secret method" but I daren't shut it again

It is behind the carpet below the lock assembly inside the double skinned back panel.

Available at Maplins/Ebay at non TVR inflated prices, it is just a standard two wire central door locking motor.

Aaaaggghhh - don't you just love them. It was 100% dead, so having ripped out the very well stuck down carpet I couldn't get to the motor so I wiggled the wires - job done!! I've no idea where the dodgy connection was but hey-ho
