Nursing Home - They go Bonkers on the 1st of the Month

A pal works in a nursing home and yesterday was telling me that on the 1st of every month the majority of the residents go bonkers.
They start doing things that are totally out of character. Quite ones get noisy, noisy ones go quiet.
I'll not go into details, but always on the 1st they start acting oddly.
For many of them they don't know the day of the week so they wouldn't know it's the 1st. It makes no matter whether they are alone in their room or in the common area. They act oddly and next day back to normal.

Has anybody else come across this behavior in a Nursing Home ?

They've seen their bank statement and how much the nursing home is charging them per month.

Common behaviour in what used to be called "Mental Homes" . Not sure what the PC term is nowadays.

Related to the position of the planets and how it affects individuals. These places lay on extra staff when a full moon is due.
