Are these two not the same car ? I don't know when it was first sold and perhaps the current seller has had to spend a lot of money on it.

Think they're the same car.
The private sale seemed like a massive bargain!
Obviously the dealer who bought it thought so too.....

Dealer almost certainly won't get the actual asking price. Has probably spent money on the car (days labour to go & get it if nothing else & someone has to pay for that). May well take a part ex which he may well pay more for than he gets back, even if not it still ties money up that could be invested elesewhere. Will almost certainly have to give some form of warranty, which may cost him if the car goes wrong (& after all no one would buy it & then give it a good thrashing would they???). Will have premises/staff/overheads etc.

Looks entirely reasonable to me, good luck to him, hope he gets near to his asking price!

All cars are cheap at the moment. Kit cars are very cheap.

The Westie was a bargain at the original sale price. No question.

It will probably sell to some unsuspecting soul at the new price.

The dealer is admitting he is a trader. Looks like good business for him.

I never buy Kit Cars unless they are either very cheap, or, very worthwhile cars with real history, provenance and a decent build quality.

I see nothing wrong in the transactions, per se.

Reflects the current Kit Car price and the way traders work. Caveat Emptor. Again.
