Has anyone ever been caught by an average speed camera?

As per the topic really.

I often get passed by people who are doing well over the average limit in road works etc.

I just wondered if you have ever heard of someone being caught?

This topic comes up about once a week and yes, people do get caught.

Not as many as seem to get away with it though, just due to the way the cameras work.

My brother got caught by them, twice on the same road, same day, going to work ans then coming home.

It does make me wonder why people clearly break the limit, I'm guessing ignorance or bar stool knowledge makes them do it.
