I hope that the replacement has a driving licence. Also it must not be forgotton he is the chap who lied about BMW and Rover. At the time many blamed BMW, I think now we know different based upon his current record. My he spend much time with family.
I have a horrible feeling that Mandy may be taking over. He probably thinks that TVR is some kind of anal lubricant.

Well the sad indictment is that there doesn't seem to be anyone capable of doing a decent job of this [transport sec] from what I can see of the Lab MP's available, or any of the half wits in parliament for that matter, regardless of allegiance!
Holding down any job through the maze of internal politics, back stabbing and spin seems to be the main aim for the majority of incumbents in the House at the moment, to the detriment of the position they hold and hence Joe Public.
IMHO the hangers on i.e. the spin-doctors, PR professionals, media consultants or what every name they're going by this week should not be funded by the public purse, but by the party that employs them. They've semi brought into line the House of Windsor, by making it more accountable with the removal of the bottomless pit of money available to it. It's about time this was applied to the House of Westminster.
Maybe they’ll then be able to concentrate on the job they were voted to do. Sorry to say at the moment they’re all bl**dy oxygen thieves.

Apparently the Transport Dept has spent less money under the lab gov than under the tories... i can understand that given lack of cash going to roads but aren't they supposed to be the ones championing increased investment in public transport?
One suggestion for the new minister - how about free bus passes / train tickets for Nissan Micra drivers... that would help ease congestion on our roads!!

Here comes another waste of time minister. Can this one drive? What we need is more one issue candidates such as the Kidderminster Doctor to defeat these morons, because the conservatives offer no real opposition. Jeremy Clarkson could represent "Commuters from the Cotswolds" for example.
