Opinions please!
This somewhat flies in the face of the "drive as many as possible" advice but if you were to drive a car and like it, it was the colour/age/everything you wanted if you had the choice and came from a reliable company like Fernhurst with a 1 year warranty would you still go and drive more and risk someone else snapping it up or bite the bullet and hand over the cash?

Yep, test another from the same dealer so you know what they are like.
Although having said that if it feels good then it probably is.
Check underneath too.
I'd jump at it....but then Im an impulsive buyer!
Just think how annoying it would be if someone else snapped it up.
Was it Fernies and which was it? Email me if you like. I was there at the weekend so may have looked at the car.

Sorry, on reading it back it was somewhat verbose!
I'm sure anyone who's ever bought a car knows where I'm coming from it's just that I don't want to be too impulsive. As a mechanically challenged newbie my main concern is getting a good 'un and having the luxury of a warranty to fall back on is very appealing. I just I don't want to miss out for the sake of being sensible!

You could always use Rob Ingleby to do the checking for you.

), we didn't drive too many before we bought but on driving ours we just knew it was right and weren't prepared to let it go.
It was also a Fernies car and so I had no issues with having driven so few.
If you like it that much you should probably* get it.

Yes or maybe no but there again er!
We bought the first one we test drove. Look at loads of others but couldn't convince anyone to let us have a test drive. Think turning up in an E Reg Vauxhall Nova was not a good start.
No regrets 3 years later.
BTW to those two dealers who looked down their nose at a couple in a Nova looking at TVRs - we bought a Griffith and paid CASH.

I bought the 2nd one I looked at too, as I disregarded several just from their descriptions. As I used Rob Ingleby's services all I had to worry about was the appearance of the car, and my gut instinct and the owner had got himself a Tuscan so I was comfortable with the fact that he was clearly a TVR nut and was selling for the right reasons. Read the small print of the warranty as you may find that it is the more expensive things that may not be covered as can be put down to normal wear and tear. For a couple of hundred quid or so I think Rob is good value for money. For example on mine he found that the shocks would need replacing asap, so I was aware of the short term cost before committing. Something like shocks may not be covered by warranty and will cost £6/7/800 to replace.
Having owned one for a whole 6 days I can safely say you will be like a grinning buffoon every time you get in it/open the garage door/think about getting in it/opening the garage door/driving it!!
