Couple of questions plus update

Just to update from the stereo upgrade thread
I have completed the swap of the front and rear channels in my Clubman S, and this made a big difference to the sound quality. I also upgraded the front speakers to some Focal speakers. Initially I was a little disappointed, but over the last month the sound quality has improved remarkably to the point I am now satisfied.
I have had the recall notice on my car for the new coolant pump. The letter said it was urgent, but phoned my local dealer and they can't get the part for about a month. Not worried, but a little surprised that the parts for the recall are not available!
Finally, my question. I am looking to have roof bars fitted to my Mini. I am tempted to get the genuine Mini items but can someone recommend these? Are they quick release? Can you fit another brand roof box, cycle carrier to them? Anything else I should know?
