It does help mate if you are..Welcome to the mad house...have you checked out the classifieds?..Theres a nice 350i on there at the moment..Zigahttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3685283.htm
It might be a bit far but sometimes its worth it!..
MrBrightSi. If you could stretch that 5.5k just a little more, I want to sell my gorgeous yellow 400SE, currently on PH. I use it regularly on the road but it is also partly prepared for the track if that's what you want to do. A small fortune has been spent on my car and is ready to drive away. I have my heart set on a Tuscan if I can shift mine quickly. Check the ad and contact me if interested.

Lean Machine, just had a browse of your add, looks very very good. I have to admit its pushing my budget as i was going in with 7k, 1 to spend and 500 in case of something ultra serious happening. The only thing that would wind me up was the heater not working hahaha. I will probably have a look at some local and if none of them do anything for me then i'll probably come have a look, you are a ways so it'd be nice to of seen the chaff before seeing something worthy as people on here have stated.
Ziga, that green one looks very nice too and is more in my budget, however i do find myself always skeptical of those that look great and are priced a little under what i'd expect. Plus with a summertime ending of mot and tax it'd be something that might be a worry.
Liking the replies though guys, thanks for them all.

For some strange reason the Wedges are currently a very undervalued car, you say it's less than you expect, but actually its more expensive than most 350i's out there. 4+ years ago SE's well selling for close to 10K now they are 6-7kLiking the replies though guys, thanks for them all.

The original colour was dark metallic blue. The two extra gauges on the right are accurate oil and temperature gauges. It is also fitted with a Willwood brake bias switch in the cabin, four pot callipers on the front, a Grifith swirl pot for the cooling system, remote clutch and brake resevoirs, gaz adjustable shocks all round and ss braided hoses throughout. That's just to mention a few of the things that have been changed on this car.

I've got to admit that 400se sounds very tempting, it's a little far however. If i don't find something to my liking i'll probably take a punt on it.
Nottingham to North London is hardly moons apart, would suggest its worth travelling for the right car, good luck with your search.[quote=Flares&Chestwig]

Pah! I travelled from south Norfolk to Wigan for mine. Twice
These cars weren't mass produced you know and only come along very infrequently.
If you want a good 'un you need to travel
