:nod:On my list of cars to own...bet it goes for £500 or something equally ridiculous. They usually have a few interesting cars.
Think the person who wrote the ad has been watching too much '80's stand up. 'take my wife...no, really, take her!' Etc.

This^. I took one out (2.6 IIRC) for a test drive and it was a lovely wafty thing
Which to be honest is impressive because the 2.6 is the pig of all the engines.
Ignoring the 4 pots the Audi range ran 2 engines most of the way through.
They started with the glorious 5 pots, I would always choose a 5 cyl over the v6 they are fantastic, you get the noise
and a bullet proof engine. But the 5 pot was available in the low powered (but melodic) 10v engine or the screaming 170+bhp 20v 7a engine. When they made the move to v6 you had the choice of the lethargic thirsty 2.6 or the livelier thirsty 2.8.
The 4 pots aren't half bad to be honest, the 8v is surprisingly nippy and the 16v needs it's neck wringing to get anywhere but is very lively when you do. The killer for me is they are VW engines and while perfectly capable, it sort of kills the car a bit for me.
My brother in law bought a 2.6 cab on the same day as I bought my RS2. Was an interesting drive back, needless to say I had to keep waiting for him
But, they couldn't be more different. The RS2 being edgy and peaky, the cab being very comfy with the smooth creamy V6 but both being built like tanks. Both great cars, but they are showing their age now.
I will say that despite being 20 years old, with the roof down the Cab still looks like a great car, seems to emit an air of class about it.

Tell us more, it does seem that the miles on the speedo are looking a bit skew whiff.
Well next door to my dad was a dodgy character, was supposedly into narcotics and whatever else, me being a bad sleeper used to see it arrive and disappear through the night until the guy was arrested, was driven by his partner and she was found to have quite a large amount of whatever it was, also found with a mitsubishi warrior thingy and an audi a4 convertible as well 99.9% sure its the car!Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
